Just Another Human

I don’t hate you at all

You’re just another human

Who stomped over the heart

Of a phenomenal woman

Leaving her broken

You know how it goes

Bleeding anger & fury

From head to her toes

Through that agonizing pain

She grabs a box of tissues

Cleans up the wound & covers it

With her trust issues

The wound keeps bleeding

But she leaves that bandaid on

And waits for it to heal

As she listens to a song

A miserable one, of course,

That only adds to her pain

Pops a few painkillers

And plays it again!

Loses herself for a while,

Then finally realizes

“Girl! What the hell?

Why make it a crisis?

Why this darkness?

And the droopy, sad eyelids?

Don’t waste your life in misery

Instead of basking in the brightness!

Picks up herself & showers it

With plenty of guidance

A lot of loud laughs

Replace her gloomy dull silence

Puts on her magical smile

And struts those 6-inch heels

Those days are over, baby

To HELL with the feels!

I don’t hate you at all

But I also don’t love you

I wouldn’t punch your face

Yet I also wouldn’t hug you

I almost lost me there

But thank God I found me

And found the good in goodbye

As you can see

I identified myself, who I am

And what I believe

Who deserves my trust, when

I should stay, when I should leave

Tell the world I’m back

And I’m stronger than ever

Overcoming this obstacle

Was a successful endeavor

Filling up my life’s tank

And grabbing hold of the wheel

Driving off to a new day

Old me, it’s been real!

I truly wish you the best

In fact, I wish you the same

Take control of your destiny

Your life is YOUR game

There is no one but YOU

That you have to impress, and,

I don’t hate you at all,

You’re just another lesson!
